Grief Counseling

Therapy is a powerful tool for growth, self-discovery, and improving your overall well-being. There are times you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, or relationship issues, or maybe you are in a funk you can’t shake and you just need a space to explore your thoughts and feelings to sort through what life has thrown at you. My role is to provide a relaxed and non-judgmental environment to talk about whatever is on your mind. My goal is to understand your unique experiences and work with you to address your concerns. Together, we’ll explore effective strategies to manage challenges and enhance your quality of life. We’ll explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to help you gain insights and develop a deeper understanding of yourself enabling you to make the changes you want to make.

Grief is a deeply personal experience, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. My role is to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental place where you can explore your feelings, find understanding, and work through your grief in a way that feels right for you. Whether you’re dealing with the loss of a loved one, the end of a significant relationship, or another major lifechange, my goal is to help you experience, manage and express your emotions in a healthyway. We will work together to help you make sense of your emotions and understand your personal grieving process. We will explore ways to cope with the pain and find moments of peace and hope as you move forward. We will find personalized strategies and support tailored to your specific needs and circumstances, helping you to navigate your grief in a way that feels right for you.

Supporting Caregivers

Being a caregiver is a challenging role. Balancing your own needs while providing care for a loved one can be overwhelming, and it’s important to have support. As a caregiver, you often put another’s needs before your own, which can lead to stress, burnout, and feelings of isolation. My role is to provide a supportive space where you can identify and express the mix of emotions you feel from frustration, guilt, and exhaustion, to sadness, love and compassion. We will develop practical strategies, based on your individual situation, to balance your caregiving responsibilities with self care in order to manage your stress and avoid burnout.

Substance Abuse Counseling

Sobriety is a challenging journey. Substance abuse can impact every aspect of your life, from relationships to personal well-being. My role is to provide a place where you can openly discuss your struggles and progress without fear of judgment. My goal is to help you navigate this difficult time and work towards a healthier, more fulfilling life. We’ll address underlying issues and develop a clearer understanding of your behaviors and triggers. Together, we’ll create effective personalized strategies to manage cravings, handle stress, and build a healthier lifestyle. This includes exploring alternative ways to cope and building new habits, identifying and strengthening relationships that support your recovery journey, and working to rebuild and enhance your support network. We will work on setting realistic, achievable goals that help you move forward and measure progress in your recovery.

Clinical Supervision and Consultation

Clinical supervision is limited by state requirements. Illinois or Indiana allow supervision hours to be completed virtually. Tennessee allows for 75%of supervision hours to be completed virtually. If interested in Supervision or Consultation, please contact me.

Please Note

I believe that everyone deserves quality therapy for the therapy they are seeking. Because of this, I do not provide children’s therapy, couples counseling, or family counseling. I do not have the advanced training to provide quality services in these areas.
